Aurora's Birthday

We celebrated Aurora's birthday this week twice...once with my parents and once with Cory's parents and her cousins...she felt so special this week. I can't believe that she is five and will be starting kindergarten this fall. Feels like yesterday that she came into our lives. I love her so much and has been such a blessing in our family. She is our little princess and lives up to every meaning of the word.

More Bat

Here is the other bat video

THE BAT

Okay, I have found that living here in Houston is adventurous...there are always new things to see...well, the other night we had one of those moments, something new to see...a BAT!!! We came home from a friends house and found that there was a bat in our house...we think that it came in the door when I left it open after coming in from the car. Cory took a little while to come in because he was getting things out of the garage, and the door was left open..so we think that it flew in chasing a bug or something...either way it was terrifying to say the least...well, it was for me. Cory was calm.

We had some friends over the other night and their son who is Noah's age. They were having fun pushing each other in the baby stroller.

Noah

So Noah has started taking a nap in my room. It's the only place that I can get him to fall asleep for a nap, and trust me...he and I both need that nap. Anyway, the other day I could hear him up there, so I finally went and checked on him. When I got there he was kneeling on the floor playing with some quarters on a stool. When he looked up I saw his face was covered in make-up, it looked like eyeshadow. So I said, "no, no Noah". Poor boy got a sad look on his face and said, " Quarters mommy", and started to cry a little bit. I think he thought he was in trouble for playing with the quarters. I couldn't help but start to laugh and I asked him if was playing with mommies make-up and if he could show me what he put on his face. Sure enough he lead me to my vanity drawer and pointed out some eyeshadow...I couldn't get mad...he was just too cute about the whole thing. I just told him that we don't play with mommies make-up. Here he is with the make-up on.....

Smores

For our family night last week we make smores...well, sort of. We bought chocolate and pink marshmellos and put them on gram- crackers and melted them in the microwave. Aurora had to have pink of course, but Noah didn't seem to care. Cory and I opted not to eat them...they were, let's just say....meant for kids.

Valentines Day

Aurora had a Valentines Day party at her school and she wanted to wear her new dress. I thought that she looked so cute...and very valentines day appropriate...
