Baptism

I can't believe my daughter is 8! She was baptized this last Saturday and it was such a wonderful day. It was extra special that her best friend Paige and her sister and brother were able to come and visit from Utah(more on that later).

Another Move

About three weeks ago Cory's old boss offered him a job in Houston. This couldn't be more of a blessing because Cory is miserable here at his job...lets just say the work environment is, well....harsh (and I don't mean case load). So after much prayer and fasting, we decided it would be the best move for the family. I had a friend ask me if we were regretting the decision (the move to the other job is a huge pay cut). I told her, "no", as soon as he accepted the offer I felt so strongly that this was the right decision. I have made some lifelong friends here, and as excited I am to go to Houston, I am sad to leave my friends here. Last Sat we went out for a girls night. So, we move Thurs night and settle in our new place in Spring. I can't wait to get back to some great friends!!!!

Thanksgiving

My parents came to visit for Thanksgiving. This was the first time (since we've had kids) that my parents actually were able to stay with us and have their own room. The kids made it extra special and painted pictures for the room to hang on the walls. We had so much fun and some yummy food!! Watched a lot of football and enjoyed being lazy hanging around with eachother. We went to a turtle rescue facility in South Padre which was way cool and then went over and hung out on the sand dunes and at the beach. Can't wait for them to come visit again.

You're 2!

My Dear Grant,
I can't believe that you're two already. The time has just flown by. It seemed just yesterday you surprised us with an early visit. I have enjoyed so much these last 2 years watching you grow so fast. Learning new things and the excitement you get at discovering the smallest things. You're always making us laugh with your funny face expressions and driving your siblings crazy with your stubbornness (this you must get from your father;). You are such a blessing in our lives and are so grateful we've been blessed to have you in our lives. I love you so much!!!!

New House

Saying Goodbye

As excited I am to be heading to a new chapter in my life. A new job, new house, new people, I am so sad to be leaving so many wonderful people behind. I have made some forever friends here in the past 3 years, and will keep some that I made longer than that that we followed here;) It was scary moving here not knowing who'd I meet and I am so overwhelmed with how many smiling faces I've met! The past week I've had people at my house packing boxes with no complaints and people asking when they can watch Grant so that my packing will be more productive. You have no idea how much all your friendships have meant to me! Thanks all of you wonderful Spring sisters for hosting and throwing, and inviting for showers, birthdays, girls nights, shopping and lunches! For the babysitting, Sonic drinks, games, and movies!!!! I will truly miss all of you!!!!
